Title: AD high plains hunter
Post by: TexasStick81 on May 11, 2014, 11:31:00 PM
I've done a search and found very little about these shafts, does anyone have any experience with them?  I've been shooting AD trad lites exclusively for years now but I'm wanting to try really fine tune some arrows to a new bow I'm getting.

Never shot them, all I know is what the web site says, they are parallel rather than tapered like the other AD shafts. I shoot AD trads and trad lites.

Danny,

I have enjoyed the AD trad lites.  I just have this itch to tinker around a little bit with the arrows and they take all the fun out of it.  You just throw whatever weight you want on there and they fly straight  :)

The High plains hunters are nice made in the USA great shafts. I have been a AD dealer for a few year's nothing but good things to say. If your into the fine tunning thing stay with arrows in the .003 range of straightness. The high plains hunters should be around the .003 if I recall. They are also 100% carbon no fiberglass fillers like in most. Good arrows I would recommend them. I also think ICS Hunters are great shafts. One thing I feel is mussing in theses arrows is the mass weight wish they had more GPI .
Good arrows

I was thinking they were around .006 but I'll look back at them.  I'm wanting to shoot for a more EFOC design so the GPI is okay because it just allows me to put the weight up front without getting too heavy for me.

Last time I was on their website you could order any of their shafts in .001, .003, and .006. I imagine a lot of dealers do not carry the straightest (more expensive) shafts but you can get them.

I also just noticed that the sponsor link does not take you to their current website. To see their whole line and options go to  www.nitrostinger.com. (http://www.nitrostinger.com.)
