Title: Juniper?
Post by: Roger Norris on September 12, 2014, 11:31:00 PM
Thinking about ordering a bow for my son in Arizona.  Juniper is one of his favorite trees out here. Does anyone have pics of juniper laminations? Does anyone use mesquite?

There's a picture or 2 on the Fox Bow site, and I have a Whip that's been owned by a couple lefties here.

This is the bow I bought second hand to help recover from my shoulder surgery.
Big Jim Buffalo, very pleasing to the eye IMHO.
Loaded up with juniper all over the place.

Great pics...juniper looks great on limbs or in a riser, one of the woods I was kicking around when I ordered my Northern Mist from Steve, but I ended up going with Osage....may have to order another.    :)

I had a Wesley Special that had Juniper under clear glass and it was beautiful.  I don't believe I have pictures of the limbs though.

No pictures but juniper makes a striking bow. I have two juniper backed HHA bows. Coupled with bamboo, they not only look good but are also outstanding performers. Ask Jason, at Howard Hill Archery, what he thinks of juniper.   :campfire:
