My wife gave me the "go ahead" to take her stand after work tonight. This is the stand she got busted in on Sunday night and the wind looks like it should be right. I told her I am going to shoot one of her does and she said good luck. I hope to draw blood for the first time with a longbow.

Well, I made it to the stand in good time and the wind was good. I used a lot of milk weed fluff checking it because of what happened to my wife last weekend. I did see a doe and a fawn but they were on a different trail about 50 yards away. She was downwind but did not spook. Nothing came down my trail and I spooked a doe off the field when I walked out. The forecast looks like this stand is out of business for the weekend so it should have time to cool down. The plan is to keep hunting even with the low deer sightings.

Can't hit a home run every time. I'm sure it will come together in that stand eventually. Keep at it and good luck!

Good luck!
I seen your original post and thought... Yeah, feels like the night. I shot my first deer from a ground blind. Was hoping you got yours too.
Hang in there... just a matter of time.
