Always nice when the post gal shows up at my front door with long skinny packages, and this was no exception. Inside was an all yew Morning Star, 55@28. Didn't take me long to string it up, tie on a nock, and head to the hills. I think I will keep it.

Shooting stars are some of the first flowers to poke out in the spring around here, and I believe that I will be calling this bow the Shooting Star. It certainly does shoot.

I love how yew looks, and this bow is so quiet that it won't need string silencers.

James promised that he would include his new laser sight, but it seems to be off a bit. However, this dandelion was shot at from a 30 pace uphill, so it is pretty close. Just a bit more tweaking and it should be dead on. Once again, OE has built a bow that is good on the eye and shoots like crazy. I hope to spend lots of quality time with it in the future.

Pat, that's a beauty for sure. Congratulations. I love my Northstar from OE too. He's figured out the reverse handle ASL build for sure.
-
Congrats Pat. That's a fine looking MS! Your shooting don't look too shabby either. Lol
Beautiful work as always James!

Looks like a great bow, some great shooting, and an even better backdrop. Life truly doesn't get much better than that.
-
Nice!

I'm on the list for a light weight Morning Star. Can't wait!
-
Thats a beauty! Great pics too
-
Excellent.......the Yew on my Morning Star is real nice also.
-
Good luck on the Bear hunt in a few weeks Pat. For some strange reason, I don't think your going to need that laser.(there is a reason I call you SGT. York)
After a long time looking I got some Red and Grey Gorden glass coming in. Time to go really ol school. ..OE

Looks Like JD put the handle on Backwards again.

Red & Grey glass, I would love to have on a Vixen!
-
I've got a Vixen that OE made me with yew laminations and one bamboo in the back. Beauty!! Yew is one of my favorites right up there with bamboo.
Just feels and looks like a bow should.

Love them reverse handle bows!
Good shootin to ya, Pat!
-
Very sharp looker there. Love the flairs in the riser lams. Bet she shoots great. Waiting on a call from OE for my Taipan build.
-
Beautful Bow and pics! Congrats and enjoy. I'm jealous, just got on JD's build list for a MorningStar. Happy hunting and shooting!
-
How did you trick james into making a limb w all yew?
-
The MorningStar is my hands down favorite ASL OF ALL TIMES!! the reverse handle bows have taken me bad , ever since I got my first MS. To the point that I do not own a standard riser bow anymore. It's either a reverse handle like the MS AND the taipan.
Just something about them that I love
Great looking bow there Pat!! James nailed it
-
That is the prettiest MorningStar I have seen yet.

Great bow Pat. OE and you "done good"!!!!!
