Title: fast flight strings

i have a 1968 indian archery seneca 264-58 inch 45/50# @28",is it possible to use a fast flight string on it or would it damage it?thanks and good huntin jody

Depends on who you talk to.  Most will say it isn't worth the risk for a few more FPS.  Others say as long as you pad the loops well, you are good to go. Some guys out there who put fast flight (low stretch) strings on all their vintage bows with no ill effect.

First, I personally won't do it.  Variables include bow condition, draw length, draw weight, arrow weight, string build...lots could go wrong.

That being said, high performance string materials aren't about a few fps, at least for many of us.  They are about stability, consistency, durability, reduced shock, etc.

I would use a plain Jane Flemish if it were me

Flemish can be made from any material.  What you want to stay with is polyester (Dacron).  B-55 would be my choice.  Endless or Flemish won't matter as long as you use the right material.
