Mike from Palmer bows is offering longbows now, can anyone comment on how they shoot? Best brace height. etc. I am looking at a 62" bow. Likes and dislikes are welcomed! Thanks in advance.

I am a long time Palmer recurve shooter. I have shot Mike's longbows a few times. They have a very smooth draw curve and are fast. I did not notice any hand shock.
I do prefer the grip of his recurves, but that is just personal preference. You will not be disappointed!

Look up Baisnboy he has one and has been quite successful with his.

Yes I bought a 62" Palmer Longbow last summer and hung my favorite recurve up after shooting that longbow. I set my brace height at 6-3/4. It is smooth, fast and shoots where I look. You won't be disappointed! I had a few longbows but just never could get the hang of them until the Palmer. I love the grip

Thanks and let us know if you get one. I hope to add a deer to the Palmers list on my next days off work.
Best of luck to you!

Well.... It is a fact gentleman, the Palmer Longbow is a shooter. I picked up a 62", 49#@28" 3pc T/D. The grip is impressive and I am a picky longbow grip kinda guy who prefers a lower grip. Incredibly fast, flat shooting and workmanship is spot on.
I am very pleased to have stumbled on this bow, thank you Basin for the encouragement!

Mike Palmer makes a fine bow. I have 2 of them. Both recurves but I have checked out his longbows and I think they would impress most longbow shooters. Nice finish and like all Palmers, they will be quick.

Well if you decide to get rid of it let me know first lol
How's it treating you? I still love my Palmer :)

Why did I open this thread - and then you said you could never get the hang of the others - dang!
Glad he hasn't updated his website - saving money that way!!

That bow is something else.... What a looker!!!!

Another good hog felled by the Palmer.

The Palmer earned me second place in Los Angeles in modern longbow class.
