Accents look great and merge beautifully with the wood, Kenny! Excellent choices!

I wouldn't be using it for resawing as much as just cutting through nasty chit like phenolic, glass and dymondwood.  I've only gotten about 20 risers cut out from each of my tri masters before they started to struggle. Which is slightly disappointing considering the price point. Regular bi metal blades are worthless on dymondwood and phenolic.

It is my thought and belief that a heavy composite like fiberglass or G10 as accent stripes whether by themselves or in conjunction with a footed riser do more for lateral stability than a simple I-Beam. A 1/4" or more  composite I-Beam, while very stout, is still delflected easier than even say 2-4 pieces of 1/16" G10 accent stripes running left/right.

The only issue with running glass and even phenolic or G10 accent lines is that they often stand proud with any changes in MC levels. Even using G-10 for an I beam, you need to make damn sure that wood is bone dry before finishing or it can open up a wee bit and crank the finish. The back of the shelf is the most likely spot too.

I just run wood accent lines on footed risers myself, and use phenolic on the limb pads, and sometimes overlays.

I really don't need to show you what my bows look like at full draw or anything else for that matter. I know what works for me.

Nope… you sure don’t….. I was just curious you grumpy old dog… :biglaugh:

Kirk, who the heck would wanna see a Stickypops bow anyway?

Good point… half the time ya need sunglasses to appreciate them.  :biglaugh:

Hey Stic…. No horses here, either high or low, and I sold the cows and bought a boat a few years ago. So there are no bovine step ladders either.

Getting closer but have at least one more round to get it straight.  I worked it down to closer to fiinal dimensions and will have another go at it soon.

I have a carbide Resaw King from Laguna.  It has been through a bunch of Osage and still cutting strong - haven't had to sharpen it yet. But I bought it because of the claim it could be re-sharpened 4-5 times.

Here’s what those heavies do when they hit a 3/4” rubber horse stall mat. Everything else I’ve hit it with just bounce off.

Thanks Jed !
I talked with Ron yrs ago about the longhunter. Ron first offered these yrs back.  Ya, you  feel a little Robin Hood-E when you put the hood on ;^))
...but, that being said , You soon realize why it's such a great design . Blanket weight , yet very light and comfortable .  I actually love the simplicity of this design. No pockets-no pouch...I usually wear some sort of vest (plenty of pockets and extra layer of warmth without bulk be the beauty of vest)   so the design just works for me . The added length in the Anorak , the Longhunter, and now the Canoe jacket is a very nice asset (no pun intended;)late season .

So I just thought I should add a little info for those on the fence or chewing on options.
Do like most....get you a few  different styles . I'm sure you will love them all ! :campfire:
