Christmas Eve stumpin'
« on: December 24, 2015, 04:07:00 PM »
Actually, the afternoon before Christmas stump shootin'

Was finally able to get over to the Klondike Forest in Amboy, NY to enjoy our 60 degree weather and take a nice walk.  And do a little stump shooting, which I haven't done since our Sept. hunt up in Moose River.

This is typically snowmobile only access this time of year:

Got one just 50 yards from the truck:

This stump was a little harder than it looked.  Bent my pretty pink Valentine's Day arrow!

But it was still usable, until I really bent it here:

We had about a foot last week-end, but it melted.  About 3 feet total so far, but it's all gone.  Now that deer season is over, it can stay gone!

Hopefully I'll have another thread tomorrow if I can get out stumping before going away for our anniversary!  The pack is made by alder creek canvas in Maine.  It's awesome!  The bow is my Morrison ILF.
