Where and what to buy for arrow fletching.

Looking for a good deal on arrow fletching. Trying to find some 5" shield cut white and natural barred. Is there a specific brand of feathers that hold up better than others. Any body know any good retailers? Found a few good deals, but would have to order from china, and would prefer to stay American made.

James, don't know what part of Colorado you are in,but If you are in the metro Denver area you can get everything you need at Rocky Mountain Specialty gear. On the east side of Kipling just south of 44th ave.
You can also shop them by phone or online. Also other sponsors here such as 3Rivers.
I favor Trueflight but have also found Gateway and Bear Paw to be good.

Archery Past, Kustom King, 3Rivers, etc for Trueflight fletching. You always get what you pay for in life. You go cheap, you get cheap. Buy quality and you will be satisfied. Others maybe able to live with cheap...so be it.

I buy my feathers from the vendors here as well. I like true flight but I think the BearPaw feathers are a good one also. I have used Gateways for years as well. But for a new guy I would spend the extra and get True Flight. The quills are usually very uniform.

My bro in law got me a good deal on some 4.5" parabolic from Big Jim last summer. Take a look at what he offers now. What M60gunner said. Our sponsors are first class.

Thanks for the replies, I am going to get the true flights from RMSG. They have a good price, and close to home. Hopefully be putting together arrows some time next week.

Another great Colorado source is Sagittarius Archery Supplies in Castle Rock. Family business with good prices.

Buy a feather burner new or used and you can burn/cut whatever shapes you want. then you can buy full length feathers or during the molt go and pick up your own real goose feathers, they are naturally waterproof, great durability, and free.Did I say FREE!!!

Ditto on the burner. I have a chopper and never use it.
