Arrows for 32# @ 28" recurve, drawn 26"

I picked up an old Ben Pearson Cougar Recurve for my wife. This will be her first endeavor into Trad Archery and I can't wait to get her set up and start shooting. She currently shoots "Wheelie" at 26". I am sure that I have some arrows that will work but would like some suggestions.
Thanks and Happy New Year.

If she uses a release for her other bow, you may find her draw length may be different with the recurve.
I would measure her with the new bow first if she is switching to fingers.
My wife is shooting 35 Lbs and has had exceptional arrow flight from aluminum 1816 and 1916 shafts. Also I made some Carbon Express 3050 shafts and left them full length and put 150 grains in front.
I think you could contact someone like Big Jim and he would get you off to a great start. I think his Gold Tip Blems 15-35 if in stock would work.

Thanks for the tips. I have some light woods that I am going to up the point weight on a bit to loosen up the spine a bit. They should be close but I will look at Big Jim's stuff.

If your looking for wood, I know Surewood Shafts has some light weight Doug Fir right now both in spine and grain weight. I've made some up for my wife.

Or Easton Jazz is also a good choice for light weight bows.

FJToyman,
Nice arrows, so very custom!
It is early in my wife's trad journey so we won't go that fancy....yet. When the time comes, WATCH OUT, she will have purdy arrows ta shoot, too!
Thanks and enjoy the flight....

Be Careful, If she is like my wife or any of my friend's wives. she will be out shooting you in no time....
You have the right idea, keep the first set of arrows inexpensive. Once you do not lose all that many or break all that many then move on to arrows she may find more appealing.
with that being said, Onestringer has a bunch of wrap options to make arrows: pretty, quickly, easily and inexpensively.
