Been a few years since I was stationed there. Turkey hunting was good, especially early in the season before everyone got them skittish. They used to only do spring turkey season if I recall correctly.

Deer abound and bow hunters get an advantage as the hunting areas close to cantonment are bow only. My honey hole was on the road between the O club and the Vet clininc, about halfway on the east side of the road, great spot at daylight and dusk as the deer moved through to feed on the golf course.......your welcome. Got 2 does out of that spot, and it was close enough to walk to from my house so I could skip PT and get a few hours in.

Lastly, you have to sign up for the area you want to hunt, but active duty get a day preference to pick. The game station is located by the archery range.

It was a great place, good duty, and got to hunt a lot. Hope you enjoy.
God Bless

I'm with LBR!!!!  Basic training may-July '88.

Saw plenty of deer on bivouacs during our rifle quals.

Sorry I don't have any newer info that isn't 30 years old!!!!

Good luck, shoot straight and God bless,
