HHA Sirocco
« on: February 21, 2016, 05:04:00 PM »
Hi all, there is a Sirocco for sale around here but it looks beat up and obviously has taken a few knocks in the past. It would need sanding and a new coat of finish, the seller asks about 300 for the bow.
Should I go for it or is it too much considered the dents and scratches?

Thanks for you help!

I would check the classifieds to see if the same money might net a comparable bow that does not need the refurbish job.

The Sirocco was a Limited Edition Bow. Not sure how many where made.Sometimes its hard to get your hands on these bows.Just depends on what you are after.

The Sirroco was about a $900 bow new, or something thereabouts.  I used to own one of the only LH ones made.  So really 300 for one that needs refinishing ain't all that bad if you ask me.

I just talked to Craig at HHA recently about refinishing one of my bows and I think he said they charge $85.  You're still under $400 so I would go for it.  You may want to call Craig to be sure on the price.

Craig does a great job refinishing his bows. It will look brand new when u get it back. If u need a wt. reduction, have him do that at the same time. The $85.00 charge will not include shipping, and of course the wt. reduction will be additional but worth it if needed. Good luck.   :campfire:

Thanks!
It looks like I'm going to buy and do the refinishing on m own since I'm in Germany and all the shipping would not be worth it.

HARL, 50 Siroccos have been made in 2009 (or 2008, not sure).

Bought it. Will be meeting the seller @ a local 3D shoot this coming weekend, I am thrilled a little.

I built a Hill style bow some years ago but didn't shoot it much hopefully this Sirocco gets some more use.
Its 40# only and I'm busy working on a nice set of light, barelled shafts with rather small feathers...
