Anyone shooting a 66" Mowhawk Sparrowhawk?
« on: February 22, 2016, 09:04:00 PM »
Think I'm buying the 44# Vince has in stock. How are they for speed, quietness, handshock, ect?

I assume it should pull real smooth. Any other info will be helpful. Thanks, Bob

Bob,
I can't speak for the 66", but I did have a 64", 52#@28". It was nothing but well behaved. Very quiet, smooth, and plenty quick for me. Cast a heavy arrow very well. I can only assume the 66" would be incredibly smooth to draw. Not sure if you would feel any more "bump" in the limbs because of the added length or not. Mine certainly had no feel of hand shock at all.
I have a feeling if you like a longer length bow, you will love the Sparrowhawk!

I love my 64".  My easier on the release than my shorter bows.

I recently sold a 66" Mohawk. It wasn't the Sparrow Hawk, which is even nicer, but was just a joy to shoot. I bought it used and only sold it because it was only 31# and I didn't want to stock arrows only for it. If it had been 40# or a little more, you could not have pried it out of my hands.

That mild deflex/reflex design still braces up as a true "D" style longbow, but is faster than any of the back-set or string follow longbows I've owned and had not a trace of hand shock. Sure was pretty too   :)

My 62" SparrowHawk is smooth as butter at my 27 1/2 in draw, pretty darn quick and quite!!. I have no doubt you would love a 66" Mohawk.

I've had several, still have one.. All have been really nice shooters..  As a plus, Vince is a pretty darn nice fellow.

I have 4 Mohawks.  3 of them are 64" longbows and 1 is the 66" sparrowhawk.  I love all of them. Very sweet, smooth shooters and a bow I would recommend to anyone.
