You will find all of us at Tannehill State Park this weekend for the Pre-Spring Arrow fling.  If you are not familiar it is off Exit 100 on 20/59 follow the signs.

I am not in Alabama, but I recently had the chance to drive through your wonderful state all the way down to Panama City.

I was blown away!

You boys have been sittin'  on a secret down there.  I was particularly impressed with the drive from Montgomery on down.  I never saw such beautiful Pine Forests that looked they held all kinds of wonderful game.

My trip was not a hunting trip (was on the way to see a sick relative in Panama City) so I could not explore those woods, but I made a promise to myself to get down there someday for a hunt for sure.

Just got home from tannehill. Met Mrs Asbell placed on order for a pathfinder wool (out of my size and color)
Stopped by big jims and spent too much money.
Amazed at the number of traditional archers in Alabama. The pre-spring arrow fling is also a well kept secret at least for me ...

And you have Steve Turay of Northern Mist Bows that just moved there to the Montgomery area.  Think Alabama will be high on my list of places to retire!

I'm in southwest Alabama.  There are a few of us traditional archers around.  Spent yesterday at the Pre-Spring Fling at Tannehill.  It was a great shoot.
