Far North Archery Cases
« on: March 09, 2016, 08:10:00 PM »
What's the scoop on these cases?  Are these worth the coin?  I travel a decent bit to hunt and they look like they'd be handy to be able to pack a bow in and pile the luggage on top and not worry about a thing.

Never heard of them, but I'm going to have to look them up.

Just looked them up. They look great, but I have never seen one in person or used one, so I can't say how good they are. When I needed a bow case like that, I just made one out of PVC on the cheap, and it worked just fine.

I have the 1 piece recurve case and an arrow case.  Strap them together and they work great for flying.

I've got a pvc case and it works well but in all honesty those just look a little more convenient being divided and having a zip closure vs threaded end cap. Folks always have a very hard time finding presents for me and I though one of these might make a nice upgrade to my Home Depot special and be an easy gift option that would be well used and valued. I sure like my one nice hard rifle case.

We have 2 of the Older models from 3Rivers and one arrow case. They are very nice and our 66" D/R longbows fit nicely in them.

my wife bought me one for my birthday last year to house my new 2 piece Featherhorn.  A little more spendy than a piece of pvc, but a great piece of kit.  I wanted it for future airline travel, hoping for a Hawaiian vacation/hunt one day soon  ;)

I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

I have two of the take down cases and one arrow case.  I keep a spare bow behind the seat in a truck in one all during hunting season.  Mine are lined and the end caps are padded.  Great quality and they should last a long time.

Thanks to those with experience with them.  I'll add them to my very short wishlist along with some more 125gr Badger broadheads.  It helps to keep it easy for family.  In the mean time I'll keep rocking my PVC Home Depot special that works just fine.

I hadn't seen these before but I'm interested.  Looks very well made by a small business owner in the U.S. and appears to be well thought out.  Tagging this thread for future gift ideas.
