Bohning acrylic paints, anyone try them?

I still like to dip my wood shafts but want to get away from Fletch Laq paints. I was looking on Bohning's website and noticed they sell a water based product. So.. I choose the package size and it popped up at $58 and change. Just a little sticker shock! Before I spring over $100 for paint just wanted to know if anyone has used this paint?
Thanks in advance, Tom M

Haven't tried it, but I'm curious too.

spoke to a fella at 3R - cant rightly remember his name.( when i asked for technical arrow building help- they put me onto him). he uses it and like it- said it just took a little while longer to dry before the next coat. but no stink, and then obviously healthier!

I have since found another source, True North. Their website says their paint is an outdoor latex paint. Agian the cost is as much or more than the chemical based Fletch Laq. What am I missing here. Always thought water was cheaper than refined petroleum products.

Anything with latex in it can climb pretty quick.
I'm beyond frugal and readily admit to being cheap! Wanting to go all water based, I switched to common Hobby store acrylics at .99 to 1.99 per bottle. I seal with minwax wipe on water based clear gloss and then the acrylics for crown and cresting. Sometimes I stain the shaft first with water based stain before the initial sealant. Or the shaft can remain natural. Sometimes it is painted full length.
I guess I should've considered that you all were not talking about wood!

Yes, for when I make wood arrows. Carbons and alum I am using wraps almost exclusively.

I just went to Michael's (it's a craft store) and bought acrilic paint there. It was.a couple quarts or so and it was $10. Works great
