Like a pig in slop!
« on: March 23, 2016, 10:30:00 AM »
Had a Black Widow SA years ago.  Unfortunately I got rid of it.  It wasn't for a lack of loving the bow, it was more a crumbling relationship sort of thing.

Anywhooo, I just bought a used PSA V and had Roger and Toby refinish it.  I just received it back and boy o' boy I am feeling stoked.  Not only is it beautiful, it is a shooter too. I had them reduce the limbs to 53# and tillered for 3 under.  I absolutely forgot how forgiving and flat shooting a Widow is.

Is it wrong to tuck this bow up beside me at night?

I'll post some gratuitous pics shortly.

I'm right there with ya Bret. I had a PSA for years and took a slew of deer and other critters with it. Sold it just for the simple sake as to try something else. Fantastic bows. I'd like to end up with a PCH one day.

Yep, hanging up the Predator for good.

The PCH looks intriguing.  I may have to shoot one of those soon.  My family lives in Springfield, Mo close to the shop in Nixa.  I may have to schedule a visit soon and hold one of those.

Calm down! Your drool may damage the finish.

Darren, don't be jealous of my new Widow.

You know Fred Bear shot one of these!

I'm just happy you have a bow that gives you confidence. You think it will place arrows 15" lower when shooting at young bull elk?

Young bull elk?

Maybe those prescription cheaters were fogging your vision.  That miss, my friend, was on an honest to goodness Pope and Young, world class, monster wall hanging, Bull of the woods.  He was so large that he distorted my depth perception and caused me to erroneously shoot high.

That all being said, I do believe it will help!    :bigsmyl:
