What shaft?

I just picked up a 35lb PSE Stalker Recurve for the girlfriend.. Someone suggested I get her Carbon Express Predator II`s in .800 spine. She is drawing about 24"..give or take a few millimeters,,new shooter etc,,... they also said to get half out inserts as well. I figure a 4" Feather...I am not familiar with a low weight,,so I call upon members of Tradgang.. what do you think?

Well I would think 600 spine could be used if the arrow was long enough...id be sure whatever you do to keep the arrows fairly long as they can get really stiff pretty quick when they are short

I would tend to think the 800 spine arrows would be close.

If you're not stuck on carbon, some 1616s in 26" should be good with 100gr points. The Stalkers are pretty snappy so don't let them fool you. I think they are cut to center as well. You could go with a 28" arrow and the factory nib point.
If the 800s, leave'em 28" with 125gr points.

She is a new shooter and as such will require some time to have good enough form to tune arrows...those arrows will work as well as any for a starting point

I have some of those Preditor IIs in 800 spine and they shoot very well out of my 38# Blacktail. In fact, I had to put a fairly heavy point on them. I turned down some 145 grain 5/16 points with a taper on the rear (drill press and a file). They will work fine.
