Recipe for AD Trad Heavy for 50# ACS

Have been shooting with a new to me ACS, and all my arrows seem underspined for it.  I have 28" Trad Lites for my other bows (all around 46-49 lbs., and I draw a little over 27"), and they fly great.  But the ACS may need a different arrow.

I would like to shoot  200 or 250 gr. up front.  I don't want a lot of arrow left sticking out in front of the bow.  Can I get away with a 28 or 29" arrow?

Also, for those who have shot both, are the Heavies mor durable than the Lites?  I like the flight, etc. of the Lites, but they are the least durable carbon I have shot (by far), and at the prices these things go for, every one broken tears me up inside        .  With the speed of the ACS, I need all the help I can get.

The only difference between the Trad's and the Trad Lites are the physical weight. I don't see why you would have any problem with the same arrows out of the ACS. The Trad's and Trad Lites are both spined to 75#. If I have any flight problems I generally fix it with more or lass front weight. Be careful here though because if you change the weight to much you will need to get reacclimated with shooting that weight class arrow. I think I'd look more at brace height and nocking point before I went changing arrows. CK

I was under the impression that the were of different spines (according to Gary Hunsacker, AD dealer).  I'll give him a call and double check.

I probably should have checked for certain before I opened my mouth. I should have said "i THINK THEY ARE THE SAME SPINE". Pretty sure they both go to 75#. CK

The riser is cut 3/16 past center.  I have had to build out the sidewall with leather 3/16; to bring it back more to center cut; and now I am getting perfect flight from arrows that were misbehaving.
