I am of the same opinion as the others, but if I should recommend a longbow, then the Timperpoint Archery Kraken, Jaco builds one of the heaviest,
and fastest bows.
Also the Kraken is very stable.
Normaly I'm a recurve shooter, but after shooting the Kraken I thought about to switch, I miss nothing compared to my Recurve.
Trying to get the bow a part of me!

I love my St Joe River bow. They are a sponsor here. They make great long bows to whatever specifications you like. Easy to work with affordable and the forward handle is very forgiving and stable. I have shot many different bows but always come back to my St Joe

My absolute favorites would be a Gregg Coffey Shrew CH (used) or Javaman Elkheart.

Longbows are fun.  I was a dyed in the wool recurve shooter until I discovered St Joe River Bows.  After having some success with one of their recurves, I had Tracey build me a longbow based around the grip I had grown accustomed to.  that was nearly 5years ago now and I've since sold the recurve, and have tried longbows from other bowyers but they don't seem to last long.  The St Joe has remained in my stable and will more than likely stay.

There are a couple of small details that I enjoy about the bow.  First, the grip/riser.  It's big like a recurve and I fully enjoy it.  Second, there seems to be the perfect solid structural areas on the riser specifically to allow easy and solid mounting of the great northern strap on quiver.

He said that he had that much money to spend.  it is kind of nice to be the one owner of a custom bow, otherwise it is just someone else's 'custom'.    He also stated that he shot the Bear for quite a long time, not everyone is into having a haram of bows.  Gaggle of geese, a parliament of owls, a stand of flamingoes, a bloat of hippos, yep, pretty sure about that haram of bows.

The original poster has yet to reply...Maybe they wanted to see how worked up people would get with such an open ended question.      :dunno:
