I'm not sure you guy are all defining "flat bow" the same. They generally are thinner in the limbs but wider, like the Buffalo or bush bow mentioned above. I do realize that compared to the historic English longbows, the bows we call "Hill style" were regarded as "flat bows" in the past because they are, well, flat compared to the D cross section of the English bows. But my understanding is the term in more recent times has referred to the thinner, wide limbed longbows. Any other thoughts on this terminology?
