I use the screw in things from Big Jim, they screw into the back of the insert with a long tool that he sells as well

Are you talking about the GT insert weights? I have those, but did not think they would screw into Carbon Express inserts.

I used the 100 grn brass insert with up to 160 grain heads in a CE Heritage 150, 29"long. For 49 - 53# bows.  Mostly shooting wood these days.

Yes - can't remember if they are CE inserts or Gold tip but that is what I use, big Jim would know. I have piles of stuff so I can usually make things work.
The CE shafts I have are not the new ones with the different logo on then, I have not purchased those and after that switch I went back to wood - that doesn't seem to change

I think any insert with the threaded hole in the back works, must be standard China size - ha!

I have no trouble getting the weights into CE 250's..... and the standard CE insert accepts them with no problem.

Good luck, shoot straight and God bless,

I had some that didn't fit well myself on the CE Heritage that i got from 3 Rivers.... They were a little too tight. So i screwed in a field tip into the insert and put them in my drill press and used a file to size them down.... worked great!  you could do the same with a hand held drill motor or a cordless drill too.

My weights slide right in

Is it the new shafts causing the issue?

I am using 100gr brass inserts in my CE 150's and have no problem with the fit. I just ordered some 50gr brass inserts from 3R and noticed they have one listed for GT arrows and another for CE arrows. If I remember correctly the inside diameter of the CE shafts are slightly smaller than the GT shafts so you may have the brass inserts for the GT arrows. If I remember correctly the id of the GT shafts are .246" and the id of the CE Heritage shafts are .244".
