Can you guys point me to any good videos or good advice on how to make a ghillie hat for hunting mule deer in the mountains? Thanks in advance!!

boonie hat, 3/4" or up to 1-1/2" nylon net, ShoeGoop adhesive, burlap strips and strings.

Go to the "How To" section of Trad Gang. Curt Cabrera has a great thread with step by step instructions for a full suit but you could just take his hat instructions and go from there.
I used it and love how the final product turned out except I used a coat underneath and it gets warm and the coat is getting smaller on me every year.
