I know that most of you put footing . But how many of you put on both sides ?

My experience ....put footing just on insert side , and if I hit in something really hard , shaft will broke on the nock side ....
Ok ,I'm not lazy ,and put on the both side ...in moment without focus I hit in rock (62# hybrid ) arrow snap in middle ....

Maybe to put just on front and stay in focus !

When I shot carbons, I never had one split on the nock end so I only footed the business end of the shaft.  Occasionally a hard impact would spit the nock out but one wrap of clear tape around the nock would keep it in place.

foot both ends it will save you some arrows and cash

Since I foot the point end I have had only one shaft split at nock end. I usually see split nock ends in unfooted shafts.

Carbon Express Heritage - both ends.

Both ends.  About the only time I part company w a carbon is when I lose one or shoot a deer ( seems like every other deer manages to break an arrow).  I have had them split at nock end before I started footing that end.

Both ends for me. I have split too many nock ends when stumping. The footing on the nock ends eliminates that problem.

Same here.

Wasn't on purpose but the Beman 500's I made up for the Martin that I sold ended up 1 grain different from the 1916's I have for the Grizzly and not surprisingly it shoots them the same. 200gr points and no footing I don't stump shoot so I'm going to leave well enough alone.

Insert end only . i have never had a axis shaft split on nock end.  The only ones ive ever had split there were grizzly sticks.
