Toelke Pika
« on: May 24, 2016, 09:12:00 AM »
This bow showed up last thursday and I just got everything set last night. It's a 54" Pika that I had the Toelke's make 50lbs. at my 26.5" draw. It's macassar ebony, quilted maple veneers, and bighorn sheep limb tips,,,it's a work of art! Their craftsmanship is flawless, but the way this little bow shoots an axis 500 is amazing! When looking at this bow, you think novelty almost because of the size, but man does this bow spit an arrow out! I always hesitate to say "fast" with a stickbow, but this bow is FAST! It has everything I was looking for in a custom,,,fast, smooth, fast handling, a looker, and ridiculously quiet. The Toelke's are so easy going when dealing with and man are they fast!  I sent a check 4/25/16, got my made for me pika 5/19/16,,,,yup, that's fast! Pic of grouped arrows was right after finding the sweet spots and was only 7 yards in my garage about 10:30 last night. This bow and I are going to get along just fine  ;)

Ken, congrats on your new Pika, she's a beauty. I shot a 56" Pika at Dan's while up fly fishing in July, they are sweet. Everything you mentioned about your bow and dealing with Dan and Jared mirror my own experience over a number of years and bows. I don't think you can do better than a Toelke.

Congrats on the Pika! I have a t/d Pika that i love.  Like you said...fast, quiet and the smoothest drawing bow I've ever owned.

I have two 54" Pikas.  They have become my favorite bows.

Toelke's bows are the best. Whip Classic 66" one and only bow now.
Odds are with the prepared..

I have one of his 52" Kestrels and a Whip now, would love to try the short little Pika
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Can't speak for the 54" cause I have not shot one but the 56" is so smooth, quiet and I was surprised how quick it was. Grip is perfect. An amazing bow. Kind of hard to believe until you shoot it cause it looks so tiny.

Beautiful bow! It looks so sleek and light. I bet it is a real pleasure to shoot!
