Bowfishing is a blast!

I just completed my boat, and it won't quit raining long enough for us to get out!    :mad:    :mad:    :mad:

Congrats to y'all!

Looks like you had a blast!
7 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.
9 Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
10 In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.
Job 12:7-10

Oh yeah we love bow fishing
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

I went primitive bow fishing two weeks ago. Took my osage self bow, a wooden arrow and a stone point.  Got one Bowfin (dog fish). Made my season.

Looks like a great time! I grew up on bowfishing, still enjoy it today, and have passed it on down to my 2 sons, who also love it! Nice job!

Never had gar, is it sort of like pike? Pike is tasty, but bony.

Was curious if most just threw the fish away or used them for some other purpose like fertilizer, cut bait, fish food...

I am in the middle of taking a fisheries biology class and one point I came across was the feed for many fisheries is not fish protein, but other sources. Seems like there could be a market for "trash" and invasive species like all these carp to be caught/shot and used as feed for our fisheries. Solving 2 problems at once.
