Picked up a Herters 62 inch Perfection Sitka at Cloverdale, anyone know what the brace height should be?

Mine shoots best at 8 3/8" - I'm shooting it off a Para-rest.  Maybe start there and see what works for you.

When set up right I've found the 4 Herters bows I have (the other 3 are a 63 CV-17, a 64 International Match Hunter and a 66 Perfection Mag) are all good, solid shooters. The 64 shoots comparably for me with any of early 60's Bears and Howatt's, Brownings and Wings that have been my favorites for a long time.

I think you will enjoy shooting it!

Thanks, I have had one before and it came apart on me after being storage in North Carolina.  I really liked it and have been looking for another good one for twenty years now.

I still have my original Perfection Stika 66" from Herters.  I paid $50 for it and have the receipt and catalog that I order it out of.  I believe my brace height was near 8 3/4".  It has a massive riser and grip.  I shot it for over 17 years.  It was slow (ft/sec) compared to todays bows, but I took a lot of game with it.  It started to get a little twist in the limbs, but I still shoot it on occasions.

The one I had that came apart, I had chronoed in Florida when going thru flight school and it was shooting in the low 180's with 550 grain arrows.  It was a 55lb bow.

Mine was a 65# bow and I would guess around 160 - 165 fps.  I really seemed slow compared to my current bow of 200 fps.  It is a massive bow though with a lot of wood and a big grip.
