Cordovan plus use of a Bateman powder pouch with baby powder. Makes the cordovan slicker than a mule in a brier patch.

Terry, I bought a Bateman from you at Compton last weekend.  Had been shooting calf-hair previously.  Gotta say I'm impressed with the Cordovan.  It's thicker and won't groove as much, and it is very smooth.

Tend to agree with TG though.  With good form, most any material will work.
