I am having new TT riser built out of bocote
 and just looking for a little feedback as to what wood would look best in the flare on riser ? The limbs are beautiful myrtle !  Thank You

I think Osage looks good with anything.......

Cocobolo, or Myrtle. A big thing you might want to consider is a low grip if it's for a recurve. If it's a longbow, his standard is fine. I also like his checkered jobs. Pics would be great after you get it.

I really like myrtle veneers on the limbs. For the flare consider something very dark, even black.

Black does look good with bocote...

This is phenolic, tho, not wood..

I would go with African Blackwood or gaboon ebony. Wenge is very porous and is hard to get the pores filled. Zircote is another option. In my opinion myrtle would not do well as there would not be good contrast between the bacote and myrtle. Your bow, your decision.
