NY tags received & Turkeys spotted

I received my NY tags today.  Over two months before any big game season opens, kind of impressive for NY.     Also, I was in the Adirondacks last week and saw more turkeys feeding on the side of Route 30 and Route 8 in a couple of days than I see here in western NY all season.  Are there really that many turkeys in Hamilton county or do they just hang around the road to drive me crazy?   :confused:

Not sure about the birds, but I received my tags last week.  Seemed real early.
