Just a heads-up for everyone trying to book hunts right now. I'm leaving on another adventure in a few minutes. Gotta move the second of several loads to the location of this years Texas Sweat. Gotta do some hunting too! I think there's a Mule Deer with my name on it. I'll be home Sunday night. I'll return email and calls then. Good hunting! CK

Update . . . Update . . . Update

It seems that CK is managing to make time for a "little" hunting in between taking care of all his chores while on the Ranch this week.

Only yesterday afternoon he successfully defended himself against the unprovoked attack of two unfriendly Javelina, both subdued at extremely close range.

Also had two shots at what he claimed to be a trophy mule deer buck at fifteen yards go slightly under the big boys belly.

He says this vast property has been unhunted for years and the game is running rampant. He's seeing unbelieveable numbers of Javys and Hogs, and a good number of mule deer. There are also some trophy whitetail on the property, but don't appear to be as numerous as the mulies.

He currently plans to be back Sunday afternoon and reports he has some amazing photos that he will be posting.

Just heard from CK and he's now added two hogs in the 125# range to the two javelina take earlier in the week. The way it went down required the use of every arrow in his quiver along with the assistance of his faithful axe handle "Sweet Spot" to close the deal. He said these are some of the meanest hogs he's ever hunted!

He had wanted to be packed and on the road home this morning by 9:00AM but the processing of the two hogs will put him pulling out a little later than planned.

Weather on the ranch this morning was 50 degrees, clear and no wind.
