Hey guys, just looking for some tips, do's and don'ts, general info. on self bows for hunting.
I just picked up an Owl Bow from Tippit, awesome bow and super guy to deal with too..!!

Guss, take a look at the Bowyer's Bench forum here,lots of information there. Try the search function on that page to narrow things down for what interests you.

About the only things I do differently than my glass bows is, don't let it strung any longer than necessary. If the finish isn't waterproof, don't let it get soaked, a little rain should not hurt it though.

If you are going to hunt with your new selfbow get a good set of arrows for it, shoot as many purposeful arrows at your hunting range as you can between now and hunting season. Get to know the bow, the trajectory of your arrows and practice, practice, practice.
