Ground blind , what do you think ?

I have limited mobility in my neck and spine .
Add to that , I have tinnitus so bad that I can't hear deer walking in dry leaves .
I've gone 4 years now with only one shot opportunity and I think it's because the deer are walking past me and I don't know it , or I'm spooking them when I turn to see in another direction .
My thoughts are , park myself in some heavy cover to my back and just look in one direction .
Figured I couldn't get a shot or see behind me anyway , so I might just sit more still .
I have a spot picked out where there are thick pines with converging trails just 10 yards from where I will sit .
I've cut out a pocket that I can sit in and I'll be completely hidden from 3 sides with the clippings piled up in front of me .
I think I will see the deer when they are right there , I'll have about a 10 foot window with a few shooting holes .
So what do you think , might it work .?

This is the view I will have , three deer runs come together at the right side of the picture and it's one through the trees .
The trail is just a few feet past the tree in the center of the picture .

How close is the blind to the trail? How tall is the blind in front? Will the deer be moving left to right or right to left? Just curious. Blind looks fine.

The brush piled in front of me will be just about sholder high while sitting .
The trail is about 10 yards . I couldn't get any further away from it .
The deer travel the dirt road that is about 30 yards to the right , and they enter my property from there and usually will be going to the left where the trail opens up to  3 or 4 heavily traveled runs and they bed down in the tall grass in the open .
Buy the way , I'm sitting North of the run and the prevailing winds are from the south west . Hopefully when I'm out there I will have the wind in my favor .
Oh I forgot to mention , that I will be wearing my ghillie that is in my Avitar .

Maybe try a pop up blind. Conceals a lot of movement. Multiple viewing windows. Helps to contain scent if the wind is less than perfect. And if you need to you can move it to a more productive spot if the deer arent cooperating at this spot.

It looks good. With the ghillie I don't think you need the pop up. Just remain still. Also, make sure you are not facing into the rising or setting sun.

Its very hard to see or really tell graps. I will say, Ive been in the wide open with no blind at all, and at less then 10 yards the deer not see me. I've also been spotted many times in what I felt was very good cover! Shooting at a deer looking at you is bad medicine,even at close range... I know that much. Id be much more concerned with swirling winds. Swirling winds = no shot or deer for that matter. Id think if the deer are spooking, its from smelling you, not seeing you. Especially doe are prone to parade around making a rukus if they just see something fishy. Id think you'd know....im very hard of hearing and I generally know when they see me. That nose is the tough one....

I know nothing is always a given in hunting wild animals. But, in killing deer over the course of 25 years, ive learned a thing or two about them. One of the biggest things, is realizing your scent lingers after you are gone from the woods. Over the course of a few days hunting an area, the deer know it, and avoid the area. They will often skirt 100 yards or even less to avoid where you were hunting. Repeated huntings will continue to lower your chances.  The very first hunt, is the best chance. From there, the hunting in that spot will deminish. I try not to hunt my spots until there is high deer movement,  and all is right with winds and timing. Then I plan on killing my first time to that spot. I rarely hunt the same stand site more then 3x, and I generally will not hunt the same deer more then 6-8 times, unless its a very unusual situation, where I can get more hunting done without them catching on as quickly. I dont care how careful we are, or what we do, scent is what eventually spoils all our stand locations....sometimes in a hurry!
Thats why I use to have 20 stand locations on 10 completely different properties. When I follow that, I kill multiple deer every season, and anyone can. Its just a matter if we can do that, or I suppose there may be some folks too hard headed to change what they do....present company excluded.

I believe more deer are geared up to watch the trees than the ground for humans these days. You remember my experiences from last year...more deer at eyeball range than ever...from the ground!
In that ghillie suit it's a shoo-in if you watch the wind and your scent.

I would  say you are good to go. Build up the brush as thick as you think you need it now and by season deer won't give it a second look.
I don't like using the pop ups unless I don't have vegetation to use, or I have fidgeting kids. A lot of deer get spooked or inquisitive  from the dark holes created by the blind windows.  I've sat in tree stands and watched many deer walk 360 around a blind to scent check it.

I actually hunt solely from the ground and was presented excellent shot opportunities on bucks on 20 different hunts last season from 8 different ground setups. Note; Did not get busted once last season in 56 hunts other than being winded.

Specific set up scenarios may require totally different ground setups. My time invested in a setup may likely be excessive as viewed by others. Also, my setups are continually maintained and/or improved upon throughout the season.

More often than not the deer responses and demeanor will provide accurate feedback.

I read a neat idea for hunting deer that may come from different directions. The guy was set up with opportunities from his right or left and seemed to be caught looking the wrong way on most occasions.
His response was to sit the stand with a piece of fishing line in his hand stretching to each side. Shot a nice buck after the line started peeling out to where the deer was passing.
I haven't tried it, but it might be helpful when limited mobility is involved.

If I were in your situation, I would use a pop-up blind. Wear black and you will be able to get away with a lot more movement.
