Getting a rubber blunt off
« on: August 03, 2016, 09:57:00 PM »
Anyone have a good way to get a slip on black rubber blunt off a cedar arrow? It seems impossible w/o damaging the shaft.

Thanks for any ideas

If you can get a syringe needle down in it with some dish soap and water, squirt a little down there. They are a pain to remove. You will have to break the vacuum seal.

I always smear the shaft with string wax prior to pushing the blunt on. It still takes pliers to get them off but it's a lot easier.

1 pair of pliers + 1 bowl of Wheaties...
Eat the Wheaties, then take the shaft in your weak hand, grab the blunt with the pliers... And start pulling!!!!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Yep hot water.

Right now you could set them in a window, and let the sun heat 'em up!

Hey John just shoot at a squirrel if you hit the tree then the arrow will snap and the rest is easy. If you miss problem goes away.   :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:

If the blunt is on a broken shaft just smash it with a hammer and take out the pieces.

If you want the shaft intact use the Hot water method.

I pull really really hard.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.
