I was surprised....
« on: August 04, 2016, 01:47:00 PM »
So I have not shot a bow since March. Compound or recurve. I took the compound out on Monday and shot several arrows. I was horrible for the first 20 shots or so missing the target several times, the whole thing!! and then got much better. But it took some time.

Today, I pulled out the recurve and and took about 20 shots, all but two were in the lungs from 10-16 yds. I thought I would be looking for my arrows and instead I was looking at them stuck in the vitals...

I guess I just really love this style of archery and prefer it over the wheels these days!

Awesome!! I feel pretty much the same way. My compounds are gathering dust. I plan to hang on to them until I actually kill a deer with trad gear. Then they'll be for sale. But honestly I'd probably part with them now if the right offer came along.

Instincts, they may rust a little but not to much.
