Getting there
« on: September 05, 2016, 08:30:00 PM »
So here's an update on me and my sage. Factory string came unserved  twice so replaced it at bass pro. Shooting horribly so I played with the nocking point and bam, I'm shooting great.Im just wait
ing on cabelas to deliver a better spined arrow than a 2114 and should be in buisness. Heck these 2114s shoot darts but a 2016 should be better @28 inch dl with 45 pounds tipped with a 125 grain head at full length?

Well I only got 5 2114s and everyone here told me 1916s or 2016s. So I ordered a dozen 2016s.

X2 what Alan said.
The bow wants what the bow wants.
If the 2114's are shooting like darts, then that's the arrow.

Please don't cut anything off those 2016's. If you do, there is a really good chance you will make them too stiff.

And just because guys over the internet told you 1916 or 2016, does not mean that a 2114 might not be just what you need. All we can do is guess for you over the internet.

Well darn I'm not cutting the 2016
I'm starting to regret not going with 2114s.

You'll find a bow can shoot a range of different arrows. Dont panic...

Just do the tuning and the bow will tell you what to do. When I first tuned some arrows I was nervous about my equipment being right for bow but settled myself down and went slow and regardless of what I read or was told the arrows I'm shooting fly better than anything I've ever shot so sticking with it.

Got my arrows. Left them at full length which seems crazy long. They don't hit the same at the 29 inch 2114s and are a bit slower. They do shoot straight with no kick at all. I group better and feel deer season should be a go with a couple more weeks of string time.

Now what I am worried about is noise. This bow is really a nagger and I need it to shut up.

I like the thicker sidewalls of the 2016 vs. 2114, they're a little tougher.

Since I've discovered that on bad releases the bow is very loud. On my good releases is way softer. What's up with that?
