Bear Kodiak replicas

After reading the post on the Little Delta and browsing Fred Bear's Field Notes, I was wondering who makes the old Kodiak replicas. Anybody have any experience with them? Are they as sweet as they look?

Kodiak Specials are surprisingly long lived-no need for replicas in my mind! I have a bunch that get worked out regularly-they pop up on ebay quite a bit. And like 4nolz said 'they're shooters'.

Ed Holcomb makes a 57 and a 59 remake. I ordered a 57 remake about 3 years ago from Ed. It is a sweet shooter, and looks just like the original 57 Bear. I plan on ordering one of his 59 remakes this spring.

Mark, I guess you can call me old school, for I have no digital camera, and have no pics of just the bow. I do have a pic of the bow and the buck I shot with it on photo bucket, and will try and get it on here.

I have a Kodiak Compass replica made by Tim Meigs purchased from Bob @ Whispering Wind. It's a double shelf & is a real sweet shooter. Tim signed it for me I'm trying to learn to shoot left handed it's really fun. Frank

Here is my pic, can't really see the bow that well. I have Ed's phone # and address.
Ed Holcomb 413-274-3765
10 Maple St. Great Barrington, Mass. 01230
If I can get my son over at my place, I will have him take a picture of my 57 remake, then post it.
