Based on your parameters I suggest the Royal Crown. The Triple was developed specifically as a tournament bow, and it shines most at the longer bow lengths, having a very long riser section like a 3pc target bow. It's strengths are in its shot to shot stability and long sight window; it is not a particularly blazing fast bow compared to some others, but it is most certainly a forgiving bow designed for accuracy. The Royal Crown has a more forward handle, slightly shorter riser section, and a little more reflex in the limbs so I think it would be a little quicker pound for pound, and still a shooter, but definitely more geared toward hunting and not concerned with NFAA rulebooks and top scores etc. It also will function better at shorter bow lengths IMHO. The PLX is kinda apples to oranges in this discussion. It has more in common with your current Whip. Also, two bows that are extremely similar to the PLX are the Stewart Slammer and Big Jim Buffalo, just for curiosity's sake. The PLX is a very slender bow, and will be very lightweight like a Whip, and only very stable for winning 3Ds if you choose a longer bow length IMHO. I have a 68" Triple Crown with Micarta riser and a yew flare. It is a tackdriver, and I wouldn't be afraid to hunt it, but I have other bows I would much rather take a shot at a live deer with. My vote is Royal Crown, maybe 62-64" to maybe 66" max? I wouldnt go any shorter than 66" on a Triple IMHO for it to have a point. Call Ron and talk to him. Super guy!
