Bow storage question

Since making the switch to trad gear this year, my bow and "stuff" inventory has swelled. I am currently using the closet and bed in the spare bedroom as my storage area but that is not going over to well with the wife. I have an unattached shop/"man house" and have been thinking of storing my bows etc in there. I re-modeled it in the spring adding insulation and new walls, workbench etc.

My question is, will this be a good place to store my bows? I have plenty of room to hang them on the wall above the workbench. It is insulated except for one wall which is a garage door. The temperature is not as steady as the house, but it does not reach extremes(hot or cold). It seems like it should be fine just thought I'd ask.

The temparature is not as important as the humidity.  As long as it is relatively dry, cold or warm weather will not hurt the bow.  Now extreem heat is another story.  Do not store near a hot water heater, or heating system

One of the most important things is to store them horizontally on a bow rack.  See my avator.  You can do this with driving two nails in the studs of the room anout 24" apart on the same level.  It is a good idea to cover the nails with tape or rubber tubing to keep from scratching up the finish.

You can also just put it on a gun rack if you have one.

I would try to keep your bows out of direct sunlight for long periods of time.

What is a good way to test humidity? I don't notice the floor(concrete) sweating in the summer and there is decent air circulation. Any thoughts on how much humidity is too much?
