Hertford is one very best eastern NC counties.  Tremendous agriculture leads to super high numbers of deer. A 3.5 year old deer is a keeper. Occasionally an older 130" plus buck and taken. Don't know that outfitter but hopefully he has you on white acorns...that's what they're on now. Largely ignoring the corn. Bring your thermocel plenty of rain will lead to clouds of sparrow sized skeeters. Good luck.

What are the deer dressed weights there around? Don't know what he's got for setups, I know they bait them and have shooting box blinds, hope to get as few meat deer as well

A huge buck will be 200 on the hoof. A large doe is 115 on the hoof. Weights here are expressed live weight unlike NH where it's dressed weight. Shoot a bunch of does,  they taste great out east they are raised on soybeans and acorns. Have good binoculars the buttons heads are hard to discern from does at twilight.  Better yet, leave that smokepole home and bring the bow. Have fun either way.

Ive hunted a little down that way but no much. Great bucks down that way. Disease riddled that area a while back, I hope the population is getting back to what it used to be.
