Photos of Bob Lee Takedown longbow???
« on: October 26, 2007, 01:06:00 AM »
I did a search and found a similar thread requesting pictures of Bob Lee T/D longbows.  Perhaps all Bob Lee owners are Luddites, cause  I did not see many pictures.

However - not one to be so easily daunted - here goes again!

I have just ordered a Signature T/D Longbow and want to see if there are any nice photos out there.  The pic's on the Lee site aren't that great so if anybody has some nice shots, may I see them please?

Any thoughts on the bow I have ordered will also be greatly appreciated.

Philip   not what you wanted but can get a longbow riser like it also. A recurve with extra longbow limbs.I also have a really small riser longbow but no pics and no longer made with the small riser but very nice to handle and looks good.Kip

Hey thanks heaps Kip - don't worry, it's a good start.  What do you think about the Lee longbow -I have read some good things about them?

I tell you what though - the customer service has been nothing but outstanding.  After getting the bums-rush from many of the  backyard bowyers I have had to deal with, (waiting weeks for emails to be replied to ) I decided to try a bigger company.

Sandy in the office has been fantastic.  She is right on the nail every time.  I am shortly going to travel Asia again for a few months and want to take the bow with me.  Sandy is rushing it thru so it will be here on time.  Looks like it will be here in a few weeks.

If the bow is half as good as they say - then I will be a happy camper.  I only lack a three piece so this should complete the stable.

Looks like you ordered the top of the range bow Kip - how does it compare with some of your other bows??

I had a Lee plain jane before this one killed deer and couple of hogs but after quiting smoking for 11 months I sold it and bought my new one.58" with 56 and 51 lb. recurve and 52lbs 62" longbow.I also found a 49lb. 60" longbow on this site and bought it was a good deal and that is the small riser I spoke about.I have two camps I hunt out of so I leave a bow at each, less packing and have a spare if needed. My only complaint is it makes more noise than I like with fast flight. The grip is perfect, tough and really smooth.P.S. 2.5 years now without a cig.Kip

Hey Kip...great job on the smokeless years...

Here are some rough pictures of my Bob Lee recurve...sorry it is the best I got.  I had mine custom engraved with a deer on the handle and turkey feet.  Signature TD with two sets of limbs 55# @ 28in (60 AMO) and 52# @ 28in (62 AMO)

Thanks for the feedback guys.  That is an awesome list of bows Stick man.  In fact I have owned a few on your list too (one was extremelly poor on follow-up and customer service and p..... me off no end).  As I  mentioned (so far) the customer service at Lee has been nothing short of spectacular.

Will keep you all posted when she arrives in Auss.

Cheers - Sutto
