Just bought grey Anorak from Mrs. Asbell ...
« on: October 12, 2016, 08:44:00 AM »
... for late season bow hunting as well as other winter timber expeditions.  I am excited to get it and was wondering if anyone has any comments on this particular pullover - like how well does it stop wind, how warm etc.

It works.....I have worn it in some of the ugliest conditions that Michigan's UP has to offer. And good choice on the gray. You will disappear like a wolf    ;)

Don't have the anorak, but have a gray blanket weight pullover. I've walked for two hours in a raging blizzard wearing it as a top layer and the snow just piled up on my hood and shoulders like on deer hair. All warm and dry underneath.
We are all here because we are not all there.

I have the Timber Ghost, which is not quite as heavy as yours, but here I am last year in weather way too cold to be bowhunting (something below zero with a 30 mph wind). I had a Cabelas windblocker sweater underneath and was relatively comfortable, considering. If it is windy where you are, you will want something windproof to go with the anorak if it is stupid cold.
