trad fever
« on: October 19, 2016, 10:43:00 PM »
I have been shooting trad the past few yrs after 30 yrs of compound hunting.  I finally put the wheels away for a while this yr and going all in with the RER recurve.  I had a doe closing the distance to 25yds the other night, and boy did it get my heart pounding like never before.  I never got the shot opportunity because it was too dark, but it was a rush of a lifetime. This traditional archery stuff has really been a blast!!

I have been at it for years, and my heart still gets to pounding when a critter gets close!

Thirty hunts already this early season knowing full well the much better action possibilities remain just around the corner.

Had convinced myself that I would save up energy and be less worn when it was time to knuckle down.
The fever has infected me once more.

Thte tratitional way enables me to absorb much more fully the complete intoxicating experience.
