I just hunted 10-13th in Greene County (just South of White Hall. Saw about 25 deer, only 4 bucks. Had one small 6 interested in a grunt, but all does still had little ones with them. I'm hoping this upcoming weekends cold snap gets them chasing more.

I grunted in a decent 8 last week but he picked me off and decided to slowly walk around me.  Hoping I find him again tomorrow.  He didn't seem interested in the scent I had put up in the air.  We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

It's on,,has to be. If you are not seeing them, they are bedded down with does. They'll be running again soon.

Didn't see any today but yesterday three bucks were shot on the public land I hunt.  Can only imagine they're cruising.  Day late...

Ranger I just returned to MD from a 20 day east central Illinois bowhunt..I saw 19 different bucks..a few giant's...saw some chasing,scrapes,rubs,ect.. Darn higher temps are making rut inconsistent..but I had a blast.. couldn't make it happen..but I earned my Illinois man badge by letting a 125 inch buck pass, during my 14 hr drive home I regretted The pass....I saw Alot of rut activity...alot
