So now that the peak of the rut is over for most of us when did it peak in your area.
I saw some good chasing activity on the 8th 9th but the 10th and 11th were a bust for me despite hunting all day then the 12th is when I saw the largest numbers of bucks chasing does.....
How bout you?

This week has been the peak for us here in Texas.  Next week should be awesome as well.
An elitist mentality creates discord, even among the elite!
"I went jackalope hunting but all I saw was does!"
Luck is when preparedness meets opportunity, I just need more opportunities!

I had Very limited sign and buck movement until the November 5-6 when the whole saddle I hunt was tore up. I had bucks on my trail cameras, and the does seemed to be moving.

Then things quieted down. A week went by where I hunted 5 out of 6 days and saw nothing. Then on Saturday the 12th the woods reeked of estrous, scrapes were torn up, and there was buck movement all day. I saw and shot my best trad buck that evening.

Same timing exactly this year as it's been year after year... Pasted from my comments on the first thread:

My notes through the years indicate rut PEAKS about the 7th through the 11th, and then GRADUALLY tapers off after... Begins around Halloween, peaks around Veterans Day, the 11th, and then slows after about the 13 or 14th... Fawning in May seems to confirm...

Good indication of the start is when then the first doe comes into estrus and seeing multiple bucks chasing her and good indication of ending is when the last mature doe comes into estrus and again, multiple bucks chasing her...
