Who makes good flemish string
« on: October 28, 2007, 10:02:00 AM »
I need to get a new string for a bow made by my father.  I am looking for someone that can make me two strings.  I know if I call some of the shops, they will just grab one on a shelf and say "this should work".

Anyone know a good place???

Another vote for Golden Hawk's "Bent Stick Bowstrings"

I bought one of LeRoy's in-stock bowstrings for my Mikuta longbow, and I had LeRoy make me a "custom" (brown/white) bowstring for my 1967 Bear Grizzly.

I was VERY,VERY pleased with both of them!!!!!!!!!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

I hope to make them myself.  Between a 2 year old, a 6 year old, a honey do list, and those few monments I get to hunt.  I am stuck buying one.

I appreciate the good word folks!

Bozman, if you are close enough you can  ride over to my shop one day and I'll work with you in person.  I'm maybe 20 minutes from Red Bay, AL, just across the state line.

Chad
