There is nothing wrong with fletchtape and lots of guys really like it.  I have used it and it works fine I just have problems getting it on the fletch then getting the backing off.  Its also a one and done sort of thing so I you dont get the feather where you want it on the first stab with your clamp it is stuck.  

but again, most guys really love it so probably best to form your own opinion.
