Anybody got a favourite?

Mine is a cheap elastic shoulder deal but my field glasses keep slipping down from chest level.

I have had the standard chest harness in two different brands, Cabela's and Leupold.  Of the two I like the Leupold better.  I did bought a Kuiu bino harness this fall.  It did a good job of keeping dust off, but blowing snow ended up inside the bino cover.  You can run and belly crawl with the Kuiu system much easier than the traditional bino harness.  I recommend it.  Be sure to watch their video of how it works before buying to see if it is what you want.

Kuiu and Cabelas are very similar. Both are very nice but the open sides means rain or snow can get inside the cover. I have the Cabelas one, and snow and debris gets in.  Badlands are closed and better at keeping things outside  but a little bulkier.

This is one I'd really like to solve. I've tried a number of bino harness designs and the enclosed ones are just too danged bulky for me. I recently bought the most minimal Alaska Guide Creations harness and I can't bring myself to use it. The padded case and overall thickness of the harness is very obtrusive to me for constant wear. That's no slam on AGC...almost all designs feel that way on my chest. Not a huge deal when sitting in a treestand, but too much for me when dealing with a loaded backpack, warm clothing, sidearm, etc.

I currently use a Bino Saver from Hidden Wolf Woolens and haven't found anything better while being unobtrusive.

I feel the exact opposite, lol, I like my AGC better when on the ground with backpack etc and stopped wearing it in the treestand. Mainly because it got in the way of my climbing treestand. Also it dangles down too much on steep shots, but that's with the big max model. With my smaller KISS model, I haven't felt it's in the way!

Rick Young.  I have tried several trying to figure out the best for me.  I have his and the FHF, but for ease of use and simplicity, it can't be beat.  good luck!

What works for me is to shorten the neck strap until the binos sit just underneath my chin with enough slack to bring them up to my eyes and no more.  I can shoot just fine with them like that and they are almost never in the way of anything I'm doing.

After two seasons under my belt  using this system I can totally suggest the Rick Young harness! I love it. Simple, cheap, easily adjusted does multiple positions. I can't praise it enough!
I bought a set of Vortex mid compact 8x32 bino's with the Vortex bino locks and a Rick Young harness after a lot of research on here and other forums I trust. I could not be happier! Love my setup!

When I'm ready to go hunting one of the FIRST things I do is make sure I have my bino setup! It's awesome!

I use it in a lot of positions. When I'm in the stand I use it as a normal bino harness. There's zero tangling up  putting on or taking off as opposed to the normal strap harness. When I'm going up or descending form a tree stand I simply slide one cord over a shoulder so it's hanging under my arm so bino's aren't hitting stand or climbing sticks! It's easily adjustable to the amount of clothes I wear unlike my first strap harness.
Coupled with my Vortex bino locks I'm sure when I pull them up to my eyes the ONLY thing I have to do is focus! You need to look at and consider the harness for sure. And the vortex bino locks if they fit your binos of your choice.
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!

Another vote for the Rick Young Harness. I had mine for 2 seasons now. I was not big on binos but had always used the cheap compact jobs. Most of the time they never came out of my pack. I bought a pair of Leupold Yosemites 6x30 and combined it with the Rick Young Harness and now my binos are always at my side. You will not go wrong.

I have the Sitka $40 harness. Straps, not cord, so the weight of my 8x42s is spread out on my neck. They hold my binos close, out of the way, No protection tho...

I used to do what Longtoke does - parachute cord and have the bino positioned under my right arm. I'm also with Kevin Dill on this one - I also find the enclosed systems too bulky, at least for me. Recently I've been using a bino harness made by Rick Young Outdoors (attached a link below). I'm mainly chasing whitetail and hunting from stands, and the Rick Young harness works for me in that application.
