Who do you work for medic 77? Abbott ems out of St. Louis  here well part time now jumped ship this year and got into pharmaceutical research.

You can meet a lot of like minded guys. We have our annual banquet / festival weekend coming up Feb 10,11,12 in Springfield
We have our annual rendezvous weekend the end of June where you can camp and shoot to your hearts content. Lots of fun
Then we have a squirrel hunt, camp out every fall.

The UBM Banquet would be worth checking out, sounds like what you are looking for.
