One bow, one set up challenge

I just sold all my bows then bought a new bear kodiak. I'm going to stick to only one bow this year, easy to do when you only have one option.

Once I get my Blacktail, I plan on that solely for deer. I'll have my Horne Brushbow as a backup. I've given Ron French my specs for some Douglas Fir arrows, so hopefully that's my set up.

I'm out.   I would still shoot lousy at the end of the year.
Shooting just one set-up would take away my main excuse for being a lousy shot.

My latest routine
light recurve 30-50 shots
heavy recurve 30-50 shots
medium straightbow 25-50 shots

At the moment I only have one trad bow, a longbow, so that's all I ever use.
I'm seriously thinking about getting a decent trad recurve though, when funds permit...

For the past two year, I have hunted only with my Abbott longbow, 62@30, with my draw being 29. Occasionally I'll pull out one of my recurves for an hour or so, but mainly it's just the longbow. I find that shooting the heavier bow is much more comfortable and easier to be accurate with than shooting a lighter recurve.

I try to stick with one bow for as long as I can, but usually wind up finding a reason to build another. A little longer, a little shorter, a little lighter, a little heavier. This grip, that grip, this wood, or that one.

I'm slowly finding what works best for me, and it's a heck of a lot of fun looking for it!

It's a great bow. Definitely not the fastest bow out there, but it puts them right where I'm looking as long as I do my part.

Haven't changed my hunting bow(Mohawk) arrows(dougfir made by Ron French) great northern quiver or my broadheads(Ace 200g) in many years now. Same glove and  no reason to change any of my setup. I guess I'm right on your challenge  and will watch for your thread. Good luck!!!
